Welcome to my online journal! I am a big believer in the power of reflective practice as an educator. Every year I set goals for reading and growing as an educator. I also like to collect resources!
Many times other educators ask me for tips on books to read or for other resources. I have always kept a paper and pen journal, but have decided to accumulate some of my ideas and resources in an online journal so I can easily share with others.
Each school year is just a small part of our lifelong adventure of learning. But the journey doesn't stop when the school year ends. It's a lifelong adventure. Sometimes we journey alone...sometimes with others. Sometimes we are jogging. Sometimes we have to take a few steps backward. Sometimes we are dodging obstacles, but the learning never stops! No matter what the pace or who we are journeying with, it is important to take the time to pause and reflect on our journey. This online journal serves to hold some of my reflections and ideas that are an ongoing part of my journey.
I have done my best to properly acknowledge all of the educators and their ideas that are referenced in this online journal. My only intent is to share what I read with others so that others can use what they learn to make a difference in the lives of their students. If I have misquoted something or have misinterpreted meaning, please contact me as soon as possible, so I can correct it! This journal is a personal journal and the opinions expressed here are mine and not affiliated with my school district.
I am a lifelong learner and enjoy collaborating with other educators to improve my teaching and learning. I have learned SO much from the books I have read and from my PLN! I hope you will join me for this journey!
